MAKING THE IMAGINATION REAL
An unusual use of fiber combines painting, mixed and digital media.

"Wen Redmond is an artist that never has her innate connection with nature far from the surface of both her work and as an artist. Wen is a consummate lover of the natural world, that love is what connects us to her work.." John Hopper

“I am a process person. My process is fed by my love of being outdoors. I’m passionate about coming up with ideas and working out the kinks. This leads to more discoveries, an evolution.  I make the art and then the art makes me.”

New England artist Wen Redmond’s fascination with photography finds expression through printing original photographs directly onto a variety of created mixed media substrates constructing unique stitched textual constructions.
An artist for decades, she weaves her love of nature, fiber constructions, mixed media and photography to create unusual photographic creations. Imaginative presentations add to the pioneering innovations and giving her work edge.
Every work generates an artistic tension, followed by the excitement of the actual creation of the work. A dialogue is started, and the work becomes real.
Wen’s work has been in many exhibits worldwide as well as publications and has published two books. She makes her home in New Hampshire and North Carolina.
